The mobilization of assistance is an inter-agency and stakeholder partnership in support to the “Bayanihan Act of 2020."
Escobal added the beneficiaries were the frontliners stationed at the checkpoints in Barangay Magsaysay in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur (the boundary of Surigao del Sur and Agusan del Sur); Barangay Wakat in Barobo town; Barangay Payasan in Lianga; Barangay Campanubay in San Agustin; Barangay Amontay in Marihatag; Barangay Tagbalidbid in Cagwait; Barangay La Paz in Tago; and Barangay Rosario in Tandag City, all in Surigao del Sur.
The healthy drinks and snacks were from the farm harvests of Mejares Farm (calamansi, lemongrass, blue ternate flower, coconut, and palao-root crops), while the juice containers were from the National Institute of Excellence (NITEX) owned by Karl Toledo, a TESDA accredited provider in Carrascal town.
