CALOOCAN CITY, May 29 (PIA)—Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso on Thursday, May 28, opened the fifth quarantine facility for probable and suspected coronavirus patients in the nation's capital.

Domagoso was joined by Manila City Vice Mayor Ma. Shielah "Honey" Lacuna-Pangan during the launch of the 40-bed quarantine facility at the Arellano High School in Sta. Cruz.

"I think by building more facilities like this, at least mabigyan man lang natin ng kapanatagan ng kalooban ang mga kababayan natin," Domagoso said.

The mayor also recognized the healthworkers who have been in the frontline of the battle against COVID19.

"For the past three months, thank you for your service and please always keep yourself safe and healthy. We need you to address COVID19," Domagoso said.

"All the frontliners, please stay safe and healthy. We need each other, we need all of us to come together and approach and confront COVID19," he added.

The city government is targeting to open 12 quarantine facilities in Manila to cater the increasing number of probable and suspected COVID-19 cases. (Manila PIO/PIA-NCR)
