CALOOCAN CITY, May 19 (PIA) --The Manila City government will soon begin distributing the second tranche of the P1,000 cash aid from the City Amelioration Crisis Assistance Fund (CACAF) for more than 607,000 families in the city.
Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso announced on Saturday, May 16, that the ordinance for the second tranche of P1,000 cash assistance for city residents has been approved last week.
The mayor said that the distribution of the P1,000 cash assistance "will be felt" by the public starting next week.
We will give that immediately. In our own little way, mga kababayan, in our own little way, maibsan man lang namin yung mga pangangailangan niyo sa buhay," he added.
Domagoso also announced that public school students in the City of Manila, from Kinder to Grade 12, will start receiving food packs and hygiene kits within the month.
The Mayor said that about 275,000 students will benefit from the said assistance. (MPIO/PIA-NCR)
