PASIG CITY, May 14 (PIA) -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) Foundation, Inc. today donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to police frontliners working to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The P2-million worth of PPEs were turned-over to the PNP on Monday at the PNP Headquarters, Camp Crame in Quezon City.

Police Major General Edwin Roque received the PPE donations on behalf of the PNP.

Roque expressed gratitude to the generosity of the PNP foundation, saying this donation was essential to the PNP’s COVID-19 response efforts.

The PPEs will be distributed to police personnel who braved the streets to protect the public against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The PPEs will support the PNP's fight against the coronavirus disease that has so far infected over 11,000 Filipinos. (PIA-NCR)
