CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, June 24 (PIA) -- The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) offers scholarship to incoming college students for school year 2021-2022.
DOST-Kalinga Head Jasmine Donaal said the undergraduate scholarship program is offered by the Department’s Science Education Institute (SEI) to Grade 12 students enrolled in the Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) strand and also to non-STEM who are within the top 5% of the graduating class.
Beneficiaries must enroll in courses leading to Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Education Major in Science and Math, Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.
Online applications must be filed not later than August 28, 2020 through https://ift.tt/37WhVQJ. Date of the examination is October 25, 2020. The list of qualifiers shall be out before the closing of the school year next year.
Qualifiers are given yearly tuition allowance of P40, 000; monthly allowance of P7, 000 plus other privileges.
To maintain the scholarship support, grantees are required to achieve an academic average rating of at least 85% in first and second years and must not have any failing grade for third year and the rest of college.
Donaal said there are nine scholars from Kalinga under the program and two graduated at the Kalinga State University last year.
