MARAWI CITY, June 30 -The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform in Lanao del Sur received 5,000 surgical face masks from the Office of the BTA Parliament Speaker, Atty. Ali Pangalian M. Balindong, Monday, June 29.
The surgical face masks will be distributed to the employees and municipal staff of the said Ministry as they lead the programs and projects on agriculture and food security.
"We have chosen MAFAR due to its active and significant role in the economic activities being the frontline in food security and agriculture programs of the province," said Amer Balindong, Chief Political Affairs Officer from the Office of Speaker Balindong.
Engr. Mesug P. Unda, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II of MAFAR-LDS, expressed his gratitude to the Office of Speaker Balindong saying the masks will help in protecting MAFAR employees from the coronavirus.
For his part, MAFAR Provincial Head Pangalian A. Balindong Jr. reminded the employees to keep wearing masks while working. (MAFAR-LDS/PIA ICIC)
