QUEZON CITY, June 28 (PIA) - The National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKT)I has announced that they will not accept walk in consultations for both private and service patients temporarily due to continuing threats of COVID-19.
“We are currently adjusting our processes to continuously serve our patients while the country is still under the threat of COVID-19. We will not accept walk-in consultation (for both private and service patients) temporarily due to continuing threats of covid-19. We are asking for everyone’s cooperation and understanding during these challenging times,” NKTI said in a statement.
Patients were instead advised to set appointment with their doctors through online or phone before coming to the hospital. However, for patients who need immediate medical attention, they may proceed to the ER for treatment. Their relatives must also undergo triaging and screening process before entering the facility.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 (RT-PCR) testing is currently available for admitted and ER patients only, while rapid antibody testing is not available in the facility.
