RGADC creates TWG to anchor plans with Balik-Probinsiya program

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, July 3 (PIA) - - -The chair of the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) said there is a need to anchor the committee’s plans with the government’s programs due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Engr. Sancho Mabborang, regional director of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and RGADC chair, heeded to the proposal of Cagayan State University (CSU) president Dr. Urdujah Tejada to create a Technical Working Group (TWG) that will take charge in assessing the committee’s future activities and projects if these are responsive to the call of the government to support its banner program Balik-Probinsiya, Bagong Pag-asa and other government projects in the pipeline.

Mabborang said that with the creation of a TWG, the committee will also be guided if the remaining activities for this year are still apllicable to be implemented and be guided to attune efforts to be responsive with Balik-Probinsiya.

He added that reporting will be harmonized since all member agency’s efforts will be consolidated as one committee accomplishment report.

“Alam kong there are member agencies na may ginagawa na in response to this program, yun nga lang hindi nairereport or nalalaman ng committee,” said Mabborang.

The chair added that once the TWG is created, the committee will also be guided on its roles in relation to the new programs of the government especially the Balik-Probinsiya.

Mabborang said, initially, the TWG will be composed of representatives from the CSU and Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) and other agencies’ representatives willing to be part of the group. (ALM/MDCT/PIA-2)
