BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Aug. 29 (PIA) - Five sitios (sub-barangays) in the upland town of Kayapa were recently energized under the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) of the National Electrification Administration (NEA).
Governor Carlos Padilla led the inaugral switchings of the SEP with the officials of the NEA, Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative (NUVELCO) and the municipal and barangay local government units of Kayapa.
The SEP beneficiaries were sitios Pao, Tengeteng, Nilog, Adon-Beneng and Boaca, all of barangays Pingkian ang Catillo Village in Kayapa.
According to NUVELCO officials, the said sitios were among those on the list submitted for funding and facilitated by Padilla to the NEA when he was still the Representative of the province.
"Through the NEA, we are continously receiving SEPs for our remote sitios and we are grateful for this, we hope that the energization program will continue to be implemented in the province so that our fellow IPs will benefit from it," Padilla said.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
