BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Aug. 31 (PIA) - The rising cases of COVID-19 in the province has prompted several local government units here to implement work from home schemes to protect its workers and prevent further spread of the virus.
Mayor Ralph Lantion of this capital town has ordered the temporary closure of the Municipal Hall and work from home among its workers due to the latest COVID-19 infection of an employee and the emergence of active cases in the town's several sub-villages.
The neighboring premier commercial town of Solano also adopted skeletal work schedules due to the increasing COVID-19 cases in its several barangays.
Solano Mayor Eufemia Dacayo said three to five of its barangays have been tagged as critical zones due to the emergence of numerous COVID-19 cases.
Provincial government Administrator Maybelle Blossom Dumlao-Sevillena has issued an advisory to Solano-based employees of the provincial government to practice Work from Home schedules starting Sept. 1.
"This will take effect until further notice except those from the health sector, disaster, emergency, and response service providers. This preventive measure is intended to ensure that all our employees and their families are protected from the corona virus," she said.
Dumlao-Sevillena also instructed the PLGU's department heads including the administrative officers to prepare and cascade their work from home. (BME/MDCT/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
