PGLDN extends aid to Matungao residents 

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte, Aug. 24 - To support the implementation of community lockdown in the municipality of Matungao, Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo immediately organized a joint distribution of food packs to Matungao.

The distribution was spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office in coordination with the Provincial Community Affairs Division and the Incident Management Team.

Governor Dimaporo ensures that the Provincial Government provides assistance to the residents and augment the efforts of the Matungao Municipal Government to keep the general public safe and secure.

Matungao was placed under community lockdown through Executive Order (EO) No. 25, series of 2020, on August 15 until August 29 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 to nearby municipalities.

The EO also calls for residents of the Matungao to abide by the order and cooperate with the government employees and officials tasked to oversee the implementation of the lockdown.

Since the day the national health crisis was declared by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Dimaporo has continuously and actively established measures through the issuance of EOs in line with the health protocols of the Department of Health and guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases. She also ordered the provision of necessary assistance to the municipalities on the management of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the efforts of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte is deeply appreciated by Matungao residents. They expressed their thanks to the Governor for actively responding to their needs and for always finding ways to support the people, especially in these trying times. (PIO-LDN)
