BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Aug. 30 (PIA) - The Philippine National Police (PNP) has organized a shootfest to draw gun enthusiasts in honing their practical shooting skills.
Police Colonel Richard Saavedra, provincial director said the Mayors' League Shootfest, a Level 1 Sanctioned Match by the Philippine Shooters and Match Officers Confederation (PSMOC) will be held on September 4-6 at the Saty Firing Range at barangay Macate in Bambang town.
"We are inviting all gun enthusiasts to join and participate in this event to promote safe gun handling, practical shooting and to develop our camaraderie through this sport," he said.
Saavedra made the announcement and invitation during the third quarter joint meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) at the Pasalubong Center.
He further said that the invitational shootfest was organized in partnership with the Nueva Vizcaya Gun Club (NVGC) and the PNP Police Provincial Office (PPO).(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
