BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Sept. 20 (PIA) - Health officials here said 1,621 villagers in five COVID-19-affected towns recently availed of the free Mass Swab Testing by the Department of Health (DOH) in collaboration with the local government units.
Dr. Edwin Galapon, provincial health officer said the activity which was conducted from Sept. 12-13 served as a venue in the collection swab specimen through the Aggressive Testing of contacts, sub-contacts and line contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases in various municipalities.
"These activities were led by swab teams from the DOH, provincial government and PLGU and Municipal Local Government Units," he said.
Galapon said during the swab testing, 932 villagers came from the towns of Solano, 216 from Bagabag, 209 from Bayombong, 187 from Aritao and 77 from Dupax del Sur.
He said the Aggressive Testing activity aims to prevent the rapid spread of covid-19 in the 5 towns through the containment of community and local transmission.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
