7th COVID-19 death recorded in Vizcaya

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Sept. 7 (PIA) - Health officials here confirmed another death due to the COVID-19.

Dr. Edwin Galapon, Provincial Health Officer said the 7th COVID-19 death in the province is CV 945, a 73-year-old Female from barangay Quirino in Bagabag town. Her history of exposure is yet to be determined.

On September 3, she experienced COVID-19 symptoms (fever and cough). She was admitted at R2TMC wherein she died at 7:42 AM on September 4. Her lab test result came out yesterday confirming she was positive for COVID-19.

"Our condolences to the bereaved family. We are appealing to everyone to stay in their homes and practice social distancing, wearing of face mask and faceshield and always wash or disinfect your hands," he said.

Galapon said that as of September 7, the total COVID-19 confirmed cases are 197, total active cases at 153 and recoveries at 37.

The new active cases are as follows: CV 946, a 83-year-old Male from Bintawan Norte, Villaverde. On August 24, he was admitted at MMG Hospital in Solano with chief complaint of edema and was discharged on August 27. From the information forwarded, he was exposed to another positive case in the same room at the hospital. He was swabbed on September 4 and result came out positive for the virus. He remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 947 is a 33-year-old Male from Bintawan Norte, Villaverde with exposure to CV 946. He experienced fever on August 31 and was swabbed on September 4.

CV 948 is 26-year-old Female from Bagahabag, Solano with exposure to her father, CV 912. She was swabbed on September 5 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 952 is a 37-year-old Female from Purok 1, San Pedro, Bagabag with exposure to CV 851. She experienced cough and was swabbed on September 4.

CV 953 is a 47-year-old Male from Purok 1, San Pedro, Bagabag with exposure to his wife, CV 952. He experienced cough on August 28 and was swabbed on September 4.

CV 954 is a 14-year-old Female from Purok 1, Pogonsino, Bagabag with exposure to her father, CV 873. She was swabbed on September 4 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 955 is a 63-year-old Female from Alejandro St., Salvacion, Bayombong with no travel history and her history of exposure is yet to be determined. She experienced COVID-19 symptoms (cough and pneumonia) on September 3 and was swabbed on September 4. She is currently admitted at R2TMC.

CV 972 is a 68-year-old Male from Phase I, Roxas, Solano with no travel history and his history of exposure is yet to be determined. From the information forwarded, the patient works as "kargador" at the Solano Public Market. He was diagnosed with pneumonia through chest x-ray on August 29 and was swabbed on September 4. The result came out positive for covid-19. He is currently admitted at R2TMC.

CV 974 is a 33-year-old Female from Bliss, Kirang, Aritao with no travel history and her history of exposure is yet to be determined. She experienced covid-19 symptoms (fever and colds) on September 1 and was swabbed on September 4.

CV 978 is a 56-year-old Female from Purok 3, Paniki, Bagabag with no travel history and her history of exposure is yet to be determined. She experienced cough and difficulty in breathing on August 30 and was swabbed on September 4. She is currently admitted at R2TMC.(MDCT/BME//PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
