Cabarroguis LGU imposes temporary travel ban to Solano, Bayombong

CABARROGUIS, Quirino, Sept. 9 (PIA)—Due to the reported increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the towns of Solano and Bayombong in Nueva Vizcaya, Mayor Willard Abuan has issued an executive order imposing temporary travel ban to the said municipalities from September 9-18, 2020 to protect the residents from getting infected with coronavirus.

Under Executive Order No. 94, series of 2020, all residents of Cabarroguis are temporarily prohibited from traveling to the said municipalities on the indicated period except for extreme medical emergencies. This will require the prior approval of the Municipal Health Office.

“In like manner, entering to the municipality of Cabarroguis by any person coming from Solano and Bayombong whether resident or transient, within the same period is also prohibited unless he will agree for a mandatory 14-day quarantine at his own expense,” the EO stated.

Furthermore, the exit and re-entry of residents going to and coming from the said towns shall be strictly monitored by the MHO and their respective barangays using their own system of monitoring.

Travellers who are going to places traversing the two towns are also cautioned from having their stopover in the two towns but instead, they are advised to proceed directly to their destinations or have their stop over outside said places.

According to Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Elizabeth Camello, employees from Solano and Bayombong who are working in Cabarroguis are encouraged to avail of the work from home arrangement or if it is not possible, they have to complete their 10-day stay in their workplace before going home.

Any person who gives false information on his destinations for the purpose of deceiving the government of his actual destination shall be dealt with accordingly.

The town executive also enjoined the MHO, local government officials, barangay and the Municipal Police Station to vigilantly cooperate in the dissemination and implementation of the said order. (MDCT/TCB/PIA 2-Quirino)
