CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Sept. 8 (PIA) - Office works inside the city hall of Cauayan including other offices of this city were ordered suspended to pave the way for the conduct of disinfection and contact tracing to COVID - 19 suspects.
The City Health Office has registered yesterday a total of 12 more COVID -19 positive, mostly employees of the city hall, prompting the city government to implement the work suspension from September 7 to September 14, 2020.
“The city hall’s office works are temporarily suspended to enable us conduct disinfection and contact tracing to the people whom the COVID - 19 positive villagers have mingled with,” Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy said.
Dy also advised other employees who have symptoms of COVID - 19 to do self-isolation to prevent the possible spread of the disease including other CauayeƱos to Stay at Home and avoid moving out in their respective houses to ensure non-affliction of the disease and their compliance in wearing face mask and face shield always.
He however ordered the city's frontline workers like health and security personnel including disaster risk reduction and management office and rescue, public order and safety personnel and veterinary office are ordered to maintain their skeletal workforce. (BME/MGE - PIA-2/Isabela)
