CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, Sept. 23 (PIA) -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will hire 60 contact tracers for the province.
DILG Provincial Director Mayer Adong said screening of the 310 applicants is now up after application was closed last Sept. 21.
The 60 will undergo training and orientation by DILG before their deployment in the various LGUs.
Adong said deployment of contact tracers is based on population and number of reported COVID-19 positive cases.
Tabuk City will have 20; Pinukpuk, 7; Tanudan and Rizal will have six each, Balbalan will be assigned five while Lubuagan, Pasil. Tinglayan and the provincial local government unit will have four each.
The contact tracers will work under a Contract of Service from October 1-December 31 2020 with a monthly salary of P18, 784(Salary Grade 9).
The contact tracers are based at municipal health units (MHU), municipal district hospitals and provincial hospital.
DILG is hiring at least 50,000 contact tracers nationwide to ramp-up the country’s contact tracing program following President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s signing of Bayanihan to Recover as One Act or Bayanihan 2 Law. (JDP/LL-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
