ILOILO CITY, Sept. 11 (PIA) -- Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. said that the Iloilo Provincial Government is willing to accept locally stranded individuals (LSIs) who intend to return to the province.
In a written letter submitted to the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (RIATF), Defensor said the province will be accepting LSIs on the conditions set by the provincial government here.
“The LSIs will only be in a maximum number of 300 passengers from the province that shall be allowed in inbound flights per week, and shall be carried at a maximum of 75 passengers per flight,” he said.
He said that only a maximum of 250 passengers shall be allowed in inbound voyages per week, and shall be carried in one voyage from Luzon, with a maximum of 150 passengers; and one voyage from Mindanao and one voyage from Cebu City, with a maximum of 50 passengers for each voyage.
“Prior coordination shall be made with the province and the LGUs of destination,” he said, adding that there should be prior submission of manifest of passengers of the plane and ship.
He said the acceptance shall be subject to the availability of local quarantine facilities and the LSIs must have the travel authority, medical certificates, and letter of coordination from the LGUs of destination and acceptance by the Governor. (JSC/LTP/PIA6 Iloilo)
