LGU Imus inaugurates new City Police Station

IMUS CITY, Cavite, Sep 7 (PIA) -- The city government here inaugurated the new Imus City Police Station located at Pedro Reyes St., in Barangay Malagasang I-G, Friday, September 4, 2020. 

Imus City Mayor Emmanuel L. Maliksi together with special guest Police Regional Office (PRO) 4A (CALABARZON) Regional Director PBGen. Vicente Danao, Jr. led the significant event. 

The city government continuously supports the Imus City PNP and highly appreciate their dedication and efforts to keep the peace and order in the city.

"Amid the crisis that we are facing today, the PNP is one of our partners to widen the reach of the local government's programs and to ensure the safety and security of the people of Imus," Mayor Maliksi said.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, the Imus PNP had conducted 128 operations that resulted to 335 arrests.

Aside from their peace keeping program Oplan Sita, the Imus City Police force had provided other services especially during this health emergency crisis like the distribution and provision of relief packs to 206 beneficiaries thru their "Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko" program.

Likewise, the Imus PNP had provided free transportation with the "Hatid Tulong" program in which 13 residents availed of the program while 55 commuters took advantage of the "Libreng Sakay."

The PNP personnel had kept the city safe during the community quarantine by manning the check-points located in strategic areas in the city and roaming the city streets to monitor the movements of the residents to contain the spread of the COVID-19 disease, and also tasked to validate the applications for the issuance of Travel Authorities for the Locally Stranded Individuals.

The above-mentioned programs and initiatives were just some of the services the Imus City PNP had undertaken in support for the local government's massive campaign to keep the city safe to live in.

Imus PNP is headed by PLtCol. Gerald S. Dee with a full staff of 150 personnel composed of seven (7) Police Commissioned Officers (PCO), 137 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO), and six (6) Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP).

Currently, the Imus PNP has 7 Police Outposts located in Barangays Tanzang Luma 1, Mariano Espeleta 2, Anabu 1-A, Bucandala 3, Malagasang 2-A, Buhay na Tubig at Alapan 2-A. (Ruel Francisco/Imus City Information Office)
