NV vice guv erects barangay clinic for the poor

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Sept. 20 (PIA) - Vice Governor Jose Tomas, Sr. here has initiated the putting-up of a clinic at barangay Busilac in this town to cater to the sick poor villagers and elderles.

Dubbed as Tam-an Damayan Clinic (TDC), it will cater to the medical and health needs of Novo Vizcayanos from all walks of life.

"We have established Tam-an Tomas Damayan Office and Clinic with the sole intention of helping, without prejudice, Novo Vizcayanos in dire need, especially during times of emergency," Tomas Sr. said. 

He said the TDC specifically intends to  to help poor villagers such as  farmers, Indigenous People, daily wage earners and elderlies, among others.

Tomas sr. said they pool their manpower and other  resources to boost the services of the TDC particularly on social service programs through their  Emergency Response Unit (ERU), blood banking activities  and  others. 

The Vice Governor also  thanked  office of the President for the support that they have extended to the Novo Vizcayanos in the form face shields, face masks, vitamins, alcohols, and some wheel chairs, which were recently distributed to various frontliners and those in the transport sector.

The TDC personnel and the Philippine Red Cross (PRD) also conducted a recent  blood letting activity to augment the supply of blood banks in the province. 

The activity was supported and participated by the members Solano Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association Federation, members of the Rotary Club of Nueva Vizcaya and  Tam-an Banawe Multi-Purpose Ccooperative staff, among others.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
