SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya, Sept. 12 (PIA) - Facing difficulties on isolation facilities, the local government unit here has asked the assistance of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in containing the worsening COVID-19 local transmission in the municipality.
Mayor Eufemia Dacayo said a Resolution was made and submitted by the Municipal Task Force on Corona Virus Disease 2019 Acute Respiratory Disease (MTFCVD-ARD) dated September 9 to DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista through DOH Assistant Secretary Charade Mercado-Grande.
She said the MTFCVD-ARD asked DSWD on their need for six Functional Fully Furnished Container Vans to be used as Isolation Facilities to be established in barangay Curifang, a zero-COVID barangay.
"We are seeking the assistance of the DSWD regarding our need for Isolation Facilities since we have already exhausted all our available isolation and quarantine facilities. These will be used as isolation quarters," Dacayo said.
Tagged as the epicenter for community transmission in the province, Solano town is now under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) until September 30.
As of September 11, Solano has 153 total COVID-19 cases, 98 active cases 51 recovered cases and 4 deaths.
Nueva Vizcaya has 251 total confirmed cases, 163 total active cases, 80 total recovered cases and 8 total deaths as of September 11.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
