Vizcaya COVID-19 confirmed cases now at 136

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Sept. 4 (PIA) - Health officials here confirmed another surge of COVID-19 cases in the province with 30 additional cases yesterday (Sept. 3) mostly from Solano town, bringing the total confirmed cases to 136.

Dr. Edwin Galapon said total active cases are at 97 with 33 total recovered cases and 5 deaths since the COVID-19 pandemic started in the country in March this year.

"We can prevent this local transmission if we cease to go out from our homes for a period of time so let us follow and comply strictly with our health protocols. Again, we are appealing for the cooperation and support of every Novo Vizcayano," he said.

First is CV 851, a 45-year-old female from Purok 5, San Pedro, Bagabag with travel history from Metro Manila and arrived in the province on August 30 via private vehicle.

Contact tracing information showed that she attended gym sessions at a certain fitness gym in Solano before traveling to Metro Manila.

This is the same gym that the other confirmed cases also attended. She was swabbed on September 1 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 852 is a 21-year-old female from Purok Ilang-ilang, Quirino, Solano with exposure to her father, CV 670. She experienced COVID-19 symptoms (fever) on August 26 and was swabbed on September 1. Her result came out positive for the virus.

CV 853 is a 15-year-old male from Purok Ilang-ilang, Quirino, Solano with exposure to his father, CV 670. He experienced covid-19 symptoms (colds) on August 28 and was swabbed on September 1. His result came out positive for the virus.

CV 854 is a 50-year-old male from Purok 2, Lactawan, Solano with no travel history and his history of exposure is yet to be determined. He experienced COVID -19 symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty of breathing and pneumonia) on August 26. From the information forwarded, the patient works as a tricycle driver in Solano. He is currently intubated and was admitted at R2TMC on September 1.

CV 857 is a 28-year-old female from Sampaguita, Darubba, Quezon. Her history of exposure indicates that she attended a birthday party with CV 785 and CV 790. She was swabbed on September 1 and remains asymptomatic as of posting. She is currently at a quarantine facility.

CV 858 is a 58-year-old female from National Highway, Busilac, Bayombong and a co-worker of CV 806. She experienced COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever, colds, body pain) on August 28. She was swabbed on September 1 and her result came out positive for the virus.

CV 862 is a 44-year-old Male from Quirino, Solano with no travel history and his history of exposure is yet to be determined. From the information forwarded, he is a security guard assigned at the Solano Public Market. He was swabbed on September 1 and his result came out positive for the virus.

CV 864 is a 46-year-old female from Quirino, Solano and wife of CV 693. She was swabbed on September 1 and her result came out positive for the virus. She remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 868 is a 23-year-old male from Quirino, Solano with no travel history and his history of exposure is yet to be determined. From the information forwarded, the patient sought consultation at R2TMC on August 28 due to a cough that started on August 25.

He was swabbed on September 1 and his result came out positive for the virus. He is currently at the LGU Quarantine Facility in Solano.

CV 869 is a 40-year-old female from Roxas, Solano with exposure to CV 646 and CV 809 at a certain fitness gym in Solano. She was swabbed on September 1 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 870 is a 28-year-old female from Roxas, Solano with exposure to a certain fitness gym in Solano. This is the same gym that the other confirmed cases also attended. She experienced covid-19 symptoms (cough and cold) on August 22 and was swabbed on September 1. Her result came out positive for the virus.

CV 871 is a 23-year-old female from San Luis, Solano who lived in the same house with CV 794 and CV 840. She experienced COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough and headache) on September 1 and was swabbed on the same day. Her result came out positive for the virus.

CV 873 is a 51-year-old Male from Purok 1, Pogonsino, Bagabag with a travel history from the Municipality of Quezon to attend to a death anniversary and Municipality of Solano to pick up a car. He experienced COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever, loss of appetite and body weakness) on August 23 and was swabbed on September 1. His result came out positive for the virus.

CV 874 is a 43-year-old male from Purok 1, Aurora, Quezon with no travel history and her history of exposure is yet to be determined. He experienced covid-19 symptoms (loss of sense of smell) on August 28. He was swabbed on September 1 and currently at the LGU Isolation Unit at Aurora, Quezon.

CV 875 is a 47-year-old male from Gaddang St., Poblacion South, Solano with exposure to his father, CV 816. He experienced covid-19 symptoms (cough and colds) on August 31 and was swabbed on September 2. His result came out positive for the virus.

CV 876 is a 24-year-old female from Purok 2, Quezon, Solano with exposure to her father, CV 792. She experienced covid-19 symptoms (cough) on August 31 and was swabbed on September 2. Her result came out positive for the virus.

CV 881 is a 69-year-old male from Uddiawan, Solano. His history of exposure is yet to be determined. From the information forwarded, he traveled to Bayombong on August 26 to buy some tiles. He experienced covid-19 symptoms (fever and cough) on the same day. He was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive for the virus.

CV 882 is a 21-year-old female from Uddiawan, Solano and the daughter of CV 881. She also experienced COVID-19 symptoms (cough, cold, sore throat and loss of sense of smell) on August 26. She was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive for the virus.

CV 883 is a 64-year-old female from Uddiawan, Solano and the wife of CV 881. She also experienced COVID-19 symptoms (cough, cold and body malaise) on August 26. She was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive for the virus.

CV 885 is a 47-year-old female from Purok 5, Commonal, Solano and wife of CV 782. She was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive for the virus. She remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 886 is a12-year-old female from Purok 5, Commonal, Solano and daughter of CV 782 and CV 885. She was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive for the virus. She remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 887 is a 39-year-old female from Mangkati, Villasflores, Sta.Fe with history of travel. On August 18, the patient went for pre-natal checkup at Sta. Fe RHU. From August 19-29 she stayed at home in Sta. Fe. On August 30, the patient was transported by an MMDRMO Ambulance to Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet

On August 31, CV 887 went to Benguet General Hospital for consultation. Specimen collection for RT-PCR Test was done and the result came out positive for COVID-19. She is currently under home quarantine at Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Health officials said that from the List of Confirmed Cases and their present status as of September 2 obtained from the Provincial Health Office, CV 326 is not yet marked "Recovered" instead marked "HQ" or discharged but still on Home Quarantine.

Thus the total number of active cases, recoveries and death would still tally with the total number of confirmed cases, they said. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
