DSWD-NCR provides COVID-response kits to Bahay Pag-Asa and Youth Care Facilities

CALOOCAN CITY, Oct. 25 (PIA) --The Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR), through the Regional Juvenile Justice for the Welfare of Children (RJJWC) and Juvenile Justice for the Welfare of Children National Office recently distributed COVID-19 response items to Bahay Pag-Asa (BPA) and Youth Care Facilities in the Cities of Muntinlupa, Makati, Malabon, Pasig, Las Piñas and Parañaque.

DSWD-NCR Regional Director Vicente Gregorio B. Tomas led the activity that aims to provide assistance to BPA’s, Youth homes, NTSG, and RJJWC- NCR through dissemination of COVID-19 items in order to prevent the spread of disease in these facilities.

According to DSWD-NCR, the items include: surgical masks, reusable facemasks, alcohol, disinfectant sprays, vitamins, detergent power. Family food packs and sleeping kits were also provided for the clients and staff of said facilities.

In addition, the JJWC provided items including vitamin c, hand soap, tissue, bath soap, face shield, powdered milk, biscuits, sugar, bed mattress, pillow and bath towels. (DSWD-NCR/PIA-NCR)
