NV capitol closed until Oct. 30 due to COVID-19 infections

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Oct. 25 (PIA)- Governor Carlos Padilla here has ordered the temporary closure of the provincial capitol, the seat of government in the province due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The order was issued by Padilla due to the emergence of at least three employees of the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO) who were found positive for COVID-19.

Padilla issued the temporary closure order from October 23 to October 30 among provincial government offices and national government agencies within the provincial capitol to pave way for the disinfection activities.

"This will allow us to disinfect all buildings and facilities within the provincial capitol compound and to contact trace and test our employees who had close contact with COVID-19 positive patients," he said.

Padilla said all employees of the provincial government within the capitol compound shall not report to work during the temporary closure period.
He however said that employees of the Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), provincial hospitals and provincial jail and security personnel shall report to their respective offices.

Padilla also advised national government agencies to adopt their own alternative work arrangements while Work From Home (WFH) provincial government workers were advised to make themselves available for consultation in various social media plaforms.# (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
