Robredo cites goodness, resilience of Filipinos in Christmas message

CALOOCAN CITY, Dec. 25 (PIA) -- Vice President Leni Robredo cited  the inherent goodness in Filipinos and their ability to bounce back better from any crisis or disaster in her Christmas message to celebrate the occasion.

Robredo then said while the COVID-19 pandemic changed how Filipinos celebrate Christmas, it cannot diminish its importance as no pandemic or disaster can overcome God's love.

Robredo also gave due recognition to the frontliners and concerned citizens who have been giving relief goods amidst the blows that hit the country.

She then appealed to the generosity of each family and extend help to those in need this Christmas, and be a source of strength to each other.

This year’s celebration may be quite different from the past but she pointed out that the pandemic did not diminish the real meaning of Christmas. Loving and giving still prevail in everyone. (PIA NCR)
