Kalinga reports zero firecracker injury

TABUK CITY, Kalinga, Jan. 4 (PIA) -- The provincial police appreciated the response of the community to the “Oplan Paalaala Iwas Paputok” campaign for a peaceful and safe celebration of the holiday season.

Police Provincial Director P/Col. Davey Vicente Limmong is grateful that the province recorded zero injury from firecrackers and stray bullet during the Christmas and New Year   revelry.

No untoward incident was reported from the various police field stations during the season, Limmong added.

 The Kalinga Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) also reported zero fire case during the period.

Sonny Esteban of BFP-Kalinga attributed this to BFP’s strict monitoring of fire safety protocol in  homes and business establishments and sale of quality standard Christmas lights.

Limmong reported that for 2021, PNP Kalinga will heighten operation against criminality, illegal drugs and shall continue to support government’s efforts to contain the COVID-19.

He reiterated his call for strong police-community partnership for sustain a safe, peaceful and healthy province. (JDP/LL-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
