CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Feb. 24 (PIA) - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Local Government Unit of Santiago City have signed an agreement establishing a DTI satellite office.
The agreement, which was signed by DTI Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo and Santiago City Mayor Joseph Tan held at Palazzo Marcelino Event Center and Cafe at Balintocatoc, underscores that the DTI satellite office will be established at the Integrated Transport Terminal (ITT) with its Negosyo Center.
In his message, Tan thanked DTI for deciding to establish a satellite office in the city to help the Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs) in developing and improving their respective businesses.
“DTI and LGU Santiago City have been partners in all programs and projects in helping small businesses in the city that is why we gave them a space to help our constituents,” Tan said.
Ocampo, on the other hand, said that Santiago City has a long history of partnership with the agency as the city is the strongest supporter of DTI’s advocacies and programs for the business and consumer sectors.
She also acknowledged the contributions of the city's business sector particularly in collaborating with DTI in its programs and services benefitting the MSMEs.
