Guimaras gives health, safety materials to DOT-accredited farms

ILOILO CITY, Feb. 4 (PIA) – The Guimaras provincial government recently gave health and safety materials to eight farms in the province, accredited by the Department of Tourism, to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Governor Samuel Gumarin and Guimaras Provincial Tourism Officer-In-Charge Liberty Ferrer led the turnover of the said materials, a press release from the Guimaras Public Information and Relations said.

The farms that received the materials include the Villa Santarina Farm, JEM Home Farm, NJST Fruit Farm, Guimaras Wonders Farm, Reyley Farm and Fish Haven, Fatima Farm, Vineyard, and MJ Grapes Farm.

The turnover took place at the NJST Fruit Farm in Oracon Sur, Sibunag, Guimaras.

The event is in support of the recovery of both the agriculture and tourism sectors of the island-province.

Gumarin is looking forward to more development in the province for the betterment of the island agri-eco tourism industry, the press release said.
