NOCPPO inks MOU with BQMH

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, Feb. 3 (PIA) –- The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital (BQMH) that would enable admission for active and retired police officers to the hospital without initial deposit.

The signing rites held at Camp Alfredo M Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City were represented by NOCPPO provincial director PCOL Romy I. Palgue and Dr. Evangeline C Johnson, CEO/President of BQMH.

Aside from no-deposit required admission, active and retired police officers and their direct dependents are entitled to a 10 percent discount if admitted and 15 percent discount for outpatient cases.

For retired members especially the senior citizen, a 23 percent discount will be granted.

To avail of the benefits, they are only required to present their PNP I.D. (active or retired) and Letter of Authority from NOCPPO signed by the Provincial Director.

Johnson, in her message, explained that initiative is a good example of the Public – Private Partnership while acknowledging the service of NOCPPO cops especially during this time of COVID-19 pandemic alongside with other frontliners like the medical professionals.

Palgue, on the other hand, expressed his utmost gratitude for the expression of goodwill for the partnership offered by BQMH to the provincial police force. *(LTP/EAD-PIA6 Negros Occidental)
