BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, March 12 (PIA) - The Scholarship Program offered for Novo Vizcayano youth have turned them into graduates of technical-vocational courses.
Vice Governor Jose Tomas, Sr. said that since 2019, 1,500 indigent youths have been given scholarship slots and graduated with their skills now being used to earn their livelihood for their families.
He said these graduates finished their studies through the Tam-an AgriTech Tourism and Training Center (ATTTC), an accredited technical-vocational skills learning center by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
"We are proud to announce that there are six graduates this year who came from remote barangays of our province. It is our prayer to help everyone gain the necessary skills they can use to build better future for them and their families," Tomas said.
He said the Scholarship Program through the ATTTC has been established to address and help reduce poverty incidence in Nueva Vizcaya.
Tomas said the Scholarship Program is supported by Senator Sonny Angara, COOP NATCCO Party List and Representative Luisa Cuaresma. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
