SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union Mar. 16 (PIA) – The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD-1) in the Ilocos released another batch of Sinovac and Astrazeneca vaccines, here.
On Monday, a total of 2,633 doses were released and were bound for La Union and Pangasinan provincial and district hospitals.
According to DOH-CHD 1, a total of 160 doses of Sinovac and 220 doses of Astrazeneca vaccines were distributed to the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center in San Fernando City, La Union. These vaccines will be the second dose for the health workers of the said hospital.
Further, a total of 538 doses of Sinovac and 70 doses of Astrazeneca were delivered to the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital (EPDH), Umingan Community Hospital, and Tayug Family Hospital, all of Pangasinan.
“We also included a total of 166 doses of Sinovac and 100 doses of Astrazeneca for the Bayambang District Hospital and requested that the EPDH personnel deliver it so that it will reach our beneficiaries the soonest,” said DOH-CHD 1 Information Officer Ethelreina B. Sugando.
It was learned also that the 66 doses of the Sinovac will be the second administration to the health workers.
Along with the distribution, DOH-CHD-1 also delivered 343 doses of Sinovac and 112 doses of Astrazeneca to the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital and a total of 265 Sinovac and Astrazeneca vaccines for the Urdaneta District Hospital.
“Also in Urdaneta, we provided and delivered a total of 464 doses of Sinovac and 110 doses of Astrazeneca for the first dose of health workers at the City Health Office,” Sugando added.
An enlisted 156 vaccines are yet to be provided for the Training and Rehabilitation Center located in Dagupan within the week.
DOH-CHD 1 said that they shall continue with the distribution of vaccines to meet the 70 percent herd immunity which initially being provided to the priority groups, specifically being given to the medical and health workers as of this time. (JCR/VHS/AHFF/PIA-1)
