ILOILO CITY, March 31 (PIA) - The new set of officers of the Iloilo – Guimaras Information Officers Association (IGIOA) took their oath of office before Governor Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr., on Tuesday, March 30.
Elected President Gina Aris of the local government unit of Lambunao led the new officers who were sworn in by Defensor.
Joining Aris during the oath taking are the following officers: Emerson Franco of LGU Anilao, Secretary; Gary Bibanco of LGU Cabatuan, Asst. Secretary; Chester Larroder of LGU Calinog, Auditor; and Nereo Lujan of Province of Iloilo, Jerry Anas of LGU Leganes and Erlyn Alunan of LGU San Joaquin as members of the Board of Directors.
Elected Vice President Lucy Sinay of Iloilo City and elected Treasurer Leizl Galan-Gatinao of the Province of Guimaras were not able to make it during the oath taking ceremony due to some unforeseen circumstances.
Witnessing the oath taking were Philippine Information Agency 6 Regional Head Jemin B. Guillermo and PIA Iloilo Infocen Manager Lilibeth A. French.
Guillermo thanked Defensor for administering the oath of the new officers of IGIOA who are strong partners of the PIA in disseminating accurate, timely and relevant information as well as in communicating the initiatives, programs and services of the government to the public.
