Mining firm donates lab equipment to Vizcaya schools

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, March 3 (PIA) - The Lamo National High School (LNHS) in Dupax Del Norte and Bintawan National High School (BNHS) in Villaverde recently received laboratory equipment from a mining firm.

James Carmichael, FCF Minerals Corporation Country manager said the Php 552,531.00 - worth of laboratory equipment include Digital Scale Ohaus scout SKX Balance 2000g, Wireless Ph Sensor, Wireles Temp Sensor, Plotting Compass (20 packs),Wireless Motion Sensor, Field Mapper Kit, Solenoids, Wireless Light Sensor, Microscope, Mini Generator, Wireless Force Acceleration Sensor, PASPORT Salinity sensor, DM-2820, Heater Stirrer and PASCO Smart Cart Red.

Carmichael said the assistance was funded under the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) of the company to help upgrade the laboratories of schools with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) academic strand in the province.

"We continue to help agencies and organizations in the province who[sic] need our assistance in line with our SDMP's objectives. These assistance are geared towards helping various stakeholders in Nueva Vizcaya," he added.

The equipment were received by Schools Division Superintendent Rachel Llana, LNHS Principal Guilbert Oracles and BNHS Principal Merlita Padilla. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
