PASIG CITY, March 14 (PIA) -- The City Government of Pasig has announced the adjustment of curfew hours in the city, following the consensus of the Metro Manila Council, and in accordance with the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
In a Facebook post, the local government said starting Monday, March 15, a unified curfew hour will take effect in the whole of Metro Manila, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The curfew is part of the city's efforts to curb the trajectory of COVID-19, following a surge of cases in Metro Manila.
Meanwhile, the city government said that essential travel to and from work is exempted from the curfew.
Everyone in Pasig is expected to stay indoors during the duration of curfew except for the following:
- People going to work or returning home from work
- People buying food or essential supplies
- People responding to emergencies
- People traveling for medical or health reasons
Likewise, to prevent further COVID-19 spread, the reopening of recreational establishments has been suspended, until further notice.
The Pasig City local government unit also called on the support of PasigueƱos to remain vigilant and compliant with the health protocols to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The city government also reiterated its reminder to residents to stay at home except for essential travel. (PIA-NCR)
