ILIGAN CITY, Mar. 5 (PIA)--The city foresees the arrival and turnover of Sinovac doses from the Department of Health-10 (DOH-10) before the actual vaccination of Iliganon medical frontliners kicks off this Monday, March 8.
City Health Office – Emergency Operation Center (CHO-EOC) Health Cluster Manager Dr. Belinda Lim bared that a total of 1,004 Sinovac doses are allocated to Iligan City, 499 doses of which will go to the Gregorio T. Lluch Medical Hospital (GTLMH), the only government hospital in the city, while 505 doses will be received by the Adventist Medical Center (AMC).
Additionally, they are requesting another 350 doses to cover other private doctors in the city.

Nagrequest ang City Health Office nga pun-an sa DOH og 350 aron ma-cover ang mga private nga doctors kay real talk, dili lang gobyerno nga doctors ang gaatubang og COVID suspects, COVID positive but also the private practitioners. Gadawat gihapon sila og COVID suspects ug COVID positive so they are considered very high risk,” said Dr. Lim in a press conference.

She also explained that the vaccination for such frontliners will last for two to three consecutive days depending on the reached number of vaccinees each day.

Meanwhile, the CHO prepares for the upcoming vaccination rollout first immunizing medical personnel at GTLMH and AMC who have already submitted their needed consent.
Simulation exercises were already conducted to note the readiness of the hospitals for the nearing COVID-19 jab.
“I strongly believe, dili sa pagdapig-dapig, but ready na gyud ta. Ang Iligan, ready na gyud ta… Even atong February 24 sa simulation sa Adventist ug sa GTLMH, makita nato sa walay dapig-dapig, ready na gyud ta. Ginagmay nalang gyud nga refinement ang kinahanglan,” Dr. Lim confidently shared after recalling the priorly conducted simulation with the cited hospitals during the said time.
[I strongly believe, siding with no one, but we are already really ready. The Iligan, we are really ready… Even on February 24 with the simulation with the Adventist and GTLMH, we could see siding with no one that we are really ready. We just need only few refinements.]
Following the just conducted simulation with GTLMH’s medical frontliners and potential vaccinees, the actual inoculation for the 499 personnel will finally be realized starting March 8 to 10, depending on the success of hitting its aimed number of vaccinees per day. (CRG/PIA-ICIC)
