4 new dialysis centers in Nueva Vizcaya soon to be established

Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, April 25 (PIA) - The provincial health officer here said four additional dialysis centers will be put up in the provincial local government unit hospitals.

Dr. Edwin Galapon said the dialysis centers will be put up the Dupax District Hospital (DDH), Lt. Tidang Memorial Hospital (LTMH), Kasibu Municipal Hospital (KMH) and the Diadi Emergency Hospital (DEH).

“Additional dialysis machines/centers will be established in our PLGU hospitals to cater to the growing patients needing this treatment,” he said.

Galapon said the additional dialysis machines are expected to be established this year despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the proposed dialysis centers are soon to rise, he bared that the provincial government here will be buying more dialysis machines to address the demand of Novo Vizcayano patients needing such medical treatment.

He said at present, only the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH) in Bambang town has ten hemodialysis machines.

Galapon said five units of dialysis machines will be put up in DDH to cater to poor patients needing this treatment.

The purchase of dialysis machines is one of the health equipment included in priority list of the provincial government under its health care programs and projects.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
