Cauayan City placed under GCQ Bubble until May 2

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, April 26 (PIA) - Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy has placed the entire city of Cauayan under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) - Bubble as a measure to prevent the increase of COVID-19 cases in the city.

Dy's Executive Order No. 40-2021 which took effect at midnight of April 25 will end on May 2, 2021 which will enable the local government to take the lead in the prevention and control on the spread of COVID-19 in the entire city.

“For the past weeks, there has been a spike of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province, including Cauayan City, which is very alarming as the hospitals and isolation facilities had reached their full capacity,” Dy said in his order.

Dy said that minimum public health standards shall be strictly complied with at all times for the duration of the GCQ Bubble inclusing proper wearing of face masks and face shields, strict observance of social distancing and frequent sanitization.

The GCQ Bubble order also regulated the  movement of villagers where those  accessing essential goods and services, and work for their respective  offices or industries permitted will only be  allowed while the number coding of all of vehicles, liquor ban, curfew hours and mass gathering will be strictly prohibited during the period.
