TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, May 13 (PIA) -- Since May 1, 2021, no one is to be allowed entry in any registered establishment in Bohol without first showing a Bohol COVID-19 Contact Tracing System (CCTS) card.
By then, establishments shall have provided a quick reaction (QR) coded scanning terminal to gather information provided in the cards which people would be using to enter their establishments.
Before that, all public and private business establishments, offices of national and local governments including government-owned and controlled facilities, and economic enterprises, like schools, markets, terminals, hospitals, sports complexes and gymnasiums, religious and other educational institutions as well as public utility vehicles operating in Bohol are required to register in the Bohol Tracking and Data Control Center (TDCC).
The said policy is mandated in Executive Order No. 25 series of 2021 which Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap signed on April 23, 2021 and was set to take effect immediately.
The Executive Order created the Bohol TDCC and launched the Bohol CCTS in a bid to effectively mitigate community transmission of COVID-19 cases here.
The executive order, which to the governor issued to intensify health and safety standards and protocols as well as provide efficient and effective contract tracing to arrest the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in Bohol, would be maximizing technological advancements in contact tracing in the creation of the Bohol TDCC coupled with the launching of the Bohol CCTS.
In its policy declaration, it states that for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic or upon amendment or revocation of the order, the “No Bohol CCTS, no entry" policy shall be implemented in the entire province.
The contact tracing system provided in the order covers all business establishments, government offices, residents of Bohol and returning residents as well as authorized persons outside residence and tourists availing of the tourism bubble as provided by Executive Order No. 52, series of 2020.
It also covers those who are 15 years old and above.
To facilitate the effective, efficient, speedy, real-time and accurate data, the Provincial Government in coordination with the component city and the municipal local government shall gather and process relevant information using the Basic Personal Form for the Bohol TDCC.
The registration aims to gather complete names, birthdates, addresses and contact numbers and categorizes them as residents, non-residents or establishments.
Required to register are business establishments, government offices, residents of Bohol and returning residents as well as authorized persons outside residence (APOR) and tourists availing of the tourism bubble and residents 15 years old and above.
For this purpose, the TDCC keeps a website that allows and keeps persons 15 years old and above as well as all public and private offices and spaces like public markets, public terminals, public transports, establishments and institutions like religious sites, schools and banking and finance, to register.
Meanwhile, persons with temporary business or personal transactions, returning residents and APORs entering Bohol are required to register at the Bohol TDCC.
They would be issued a QR-coded Bohol CCTS which they may print or show for scanning from their mobile phones as they enter Bohol, cross checkpoints, or enter establishments.
On the other hand, establishments within Bohol shall register in the Private Data Establishment Form for the TDCC website, and provide the name of establishment, complete address of the establishment, contact person, contact number, and establishment type.
The order also entrusts into the city and municipal local government units the responsibility to assist their residents and establishments in their respective jurisdictions to register in the Bohol TDCC website and obtain a Bohol CTTS card.
All establishments are required to secure and provide Bohol TDCC terminal for scanning and gathering information of all clients and visitors entering the establishments using the QR-coded card. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
