BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, May 31 (PIA) - Bugkalot coffee farmers and processors recently received strategic planning and management training from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Jonathan Nuestro, DOST Provincial chief said the recent three-day seminar which gathered 30 participants from barangay Talbec in Dupax del Sur town focused on Strategic Planning and Organizational Management Training.
"The activity aims to develop details on the business plan of the association and also to reconstruct the mission, vision, goals, and long-term actions for finalization," he said.
Nuestro added that the training also dealt on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Housekeeping.
He said the training will provide more technical knowledge and skills among the Bugkalot coffee farmers and producers to boost their business venture.
Nuestro said that in 2019, the Bugkalot Coffee Multipurpose Cooperative Growers (BCMCG) were assisted by their agency through their Community Empowerment through Science & Technology (CEST).
He said the BCMCG members are now managing the 250 hectares of coffee trees in their ancestral domains. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2- Nueva Vizcaya)
