Local entrepreneur tops DTI's Regional KMME-MME Mentoring Program

VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) -- A local entrepreneur topped the first ever Regional All-Women Kapatid Mentor Micro Enterprise – Money Market Encoun

ter (KMME-MME) Mentoring Program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Ms. Rosette Canlapan, owner of Virtual Nook Computer Shop located at Salvacion, Virac, Catanduanes was hailed as the 'Class Valedictorian' of this batch, across Bicol region during the conduct of simultaneous regional graduation ceremony KMME- MME.

According to DTI Provincial Director Ma. Belma Q. Escueta, a total of eight (8) mentees in Catanduanes who successfully finished the ten (10) modules and was able to present their Business Improvement Plans have graduated.

The mentee-graduates for Catanduanes are: Rosette T. Canlapan; Maria Tuzka Lopez, owner of YBC Beauty and Wellness Shop located at Salvacion, Virac; Michelle Morales, manager of Island Food Shop located at Poblacion, Viga ; Rosalie L. Soliven, owner of RLS Tailoring Shop located at Balogñonan, Pandan; Charis Solo, owner of Charis Advertising and Printing Services located at San Jose, Virac.

Also graduated were Kareen B. Tesorero, owner of EJ-KC Furniture Shop located at Batolinao Baras; Judith Tolledo, owner of JC Abaca Trading and Processing, located at San Pedro Gigmoto; and Cristina L. Torreda, owner of Cristina’s Strawberry Farm, located at Yocti San Andres.

KMME aims to coach entrepreneurs in areas like human resources, marketing, costing, taxation, entrepreneurial mindset and other aspects of entrepreneurship while MME is an online interaction and learning program wherein experts and leaders of financial institutions meet KMME graduates to assist and mentor them in terms of financial management.

Aside from the 8 mentees from Catanduanes, 40 other mentees across Bicol region also finished the program. (PIA5/Catanduanes)
