Pasay starts COVID-19 inoculation with Pfizer

CALOOCAN CITY, May 14 (PIA) -- Pasay City will start its Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines roll out today.

This was announced by Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano who said only half of the 1,170 vaccines or 585 Pfizer vaccines will be used in vaccinating pre-listed frontline healthcare workers, senior citizens, and adults with comorbidity.

Residents can sign up for the vaccination campaign online via https://forms.gle/u1pHFU3Y53X48vEf8, or coordinate with village offices or health centers.

Rubiano said one of the city’s isolation facilities — Burgos Elementary School — has been converted into a vaccination site for the 585 individuals who will be given the Pfizer vaccines.

The city now has five vaccination centers, including the Giga vaccination center at SM the Galleon and Burgos Elementary School. The three other vaccination centers are the Pasay City West High School, T. Paez Elementary School, and San Juan Sumulong Elementary School, the mayor said.

On Thursday, May 13, the 1,170 Pfizer vaccines allotted to the city government have been placed at the ORCA Cold Chain Solution located in Bagumbayan, Taguig City.
