PASIG CITY, May 17 (PIA) – Starting today, Rizal Park Luneta and Paco Park in Manila will reopen to park visitors following the reimposition of a more lenient general community quarantine (GCQ) with restrictions over Metro Manila.
In an advisory from its official Facebook Page, the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) announced the reopening of Rizal Park from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., while Paco Park will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., daily.
NPDC said that the parks will be open for exercise only and advises visitors to follow proper health and safety protocols.
“We also encourage everyone visiting our sites to download the StaySafe.PH app. StaySafe.PH app is available on Google Play Store, Apple App Store or simply use your built-in QR Scanner on your mobile phones,” the advisory states.
The parks were closed in late March to April, following the implementation of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in the National Capital Region and nearby provinces due to the surge of COVID-19 cases. (PIA NCR)
