20 ARBs take skills training on cacao processing

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, May 31 (PIA) - At least 20 members Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in San Guillermo town have undergone the skills training on cacao processing.

The training was sponsored by Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Isabela and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) - Isabela through its Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).

Juliet Guieb, Acting Vice President of the Regional Cacao Council and owner of HJ Guieb Cacao Farms said Cacao industry is a potential business venture in the town.

She said the trainees were taught with the basics of farm management and the process of making cacao cookies, nibs, tablea, muffins and dark chocolate.

Guieb served as the resource person and trainer while DTI Isabela representatives Mr. Armstrong Benedicto, Mr. Leumer Viernes, and Josh Sanchez together with DAR Isabela Buenafe Salas assisted during the duration of the training. (BME/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
