MANILA – Rains will continue over parts of Mindanao and the Visayas due to the shear line or tail-end of the frontal system, the weather bureau said Tuesday.
Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Central, and Eastern Visayas, and the provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, and Davao de Oro will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
"We advise people in these areas to monitor possible thunderstorm and rainfall advisories that will be issued by our regional services," weather forecaster Chris Perez of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
Western Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will have isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Perez said Luzon would have fair weather, but the northeast monsoon affecting the island will bring isolated light rains.
No gale warning is in effect. However, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, and the eastern section of the Visayas.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
PAGASA is not expecting any weather disturbances, Perez said. (PNA)
