93 PUMs in Dgte after arrival of OFWs, stranded individuals

DUMAGUETE CITY, May 27 (PIA) --The Dumaguete City Inter-Agency Task Force COVID-19 reported that there are 93 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) in the city following the arrival of returning Overseas Filipino Workers, Locally Stranded Individuals, and government and private employees. 

Nine PUMs from five barangays have completed their mandatory 14-day quarantine today without any signs and symptoms of influenza-like illness (ILI).

The City Health Office also reported that all PUMs have not manifested any signs of ILI but remain under close and constant monitoring for timely medical intervention.

Meanwhile, the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) has issued travel authority with the following requirements for LSIs:

  • Medical Clearance Certificate of Locally Stranded Individual issued by the LGU Health Office where the LSI is staying.
  • It should indicate that the Locally Stranded Individuals did not develop any signs or symptoms of COVID19 within the 14-day period of home quarantine prior to the issuance of a certificate. 
  • Locally Stranded Individual is fit to travel. 

LSIs must secure travel authority from the Police Regional Director if their travel is from one province to another, while for LSIs to travel from other cities and municipalities within the province it will be the Provincial Director who will give the authority.

LSIs within the cities/municipalities who wish to go back to their respective place or barangay must seek the travel authority from their local Chief of Police. (jct/PIA7 Negros Oriental)
