Keilco donates P1M to Batangas City in fight against COVID-19

BATANGAS CITY, May 17 (PIA)--Kepco Ilijan Corporation (KEILCO) donated P1M to the city government of Batangas to help in the fight against the coronavirus disease (COVID) 19.
 
KEILCO Vice President and Plant Manager Myung-soo Kang personally handed out the check to City Treasurer Aster Marasigan Friday, May 15, 2020.
 
“The donation of Keilco will be deposited in the Trust Fund account of the city government," City Treasurer Aster Marasigan said.

"We wish to extend our sincerest appreciation for this big help. This will come a long way since the city government is continuously doing all the effort to fight COVID 19 and help our fellow Batanguenos,” 
 
Meanwhile, Kang said they have also donated P200K worth of rice to their host barangay, Brgy. Ilijan last March 2020 and an amount of P215K on the feast day May 8, 2020.
 
“Our company is still in normal operations since the duration of the ECQ and even we are not technically affected, we have imposed a 4-day work week and groupings to our 120 employees so that we can also practice the health and safety protocols to fight COVID 19,” Kang said.( BHABY P.
