Pasig lifts liquor ban; reminds public to avoid drinking in public places

PASIG CITY, May 27 (PIA) – The city government of Pasig has lifted the liquor ban in the city after the Sangguniang Panglungsod has passed an ordinance.

“We are lifting because businesses and workers are also affected by the ban,” said Mayor Vico Sotto on his Twitter account on Tuesday.  

However, the local chief reminded residents that drinking in public places is prohibited, as well as social gatherings, and dining in restaurants, bars and in similar establishments in the city.  

The city government reminded the public that violation of said ordinance will be penalized.

Likewise, the city government reminded the public to stay home and stay safe. (Pasig PIO/PIA-NCR)
