DTI Negosyo Centers in NCR closed on Aug.4-18

PASIG CITY, August 4 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry-National Capital Regional Office (DTI-NCRO) has announced the temporary closure of all its Negosyo Centers located in Metro Manila starting today until August 18, 2020.

The temporary closure of Negosyo Centers is due to the latest issuance of placing Metro Manila under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) during said period, the DTI-NCRO said.

DTI-NCRO, likewise, advises the public to visit its website http://bnrs.dti.gov.ph for business registration concerns.

Meanwhile, for concerns and other inquiries, the pubic may email or contact directly the Negosyo Center in their area.

To recall, the Negosyo Center Program is responsible for promoting ease of doing business and facilitating access to services for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

One of its aims is to give MSMEs business-related services, especially helping COVID-19 affected businesses bounce back amid the pandemic.

Likewise, Republic Act No. 10644 otherwise known as the “Go Negosyo Act,” seeks to strengthen MSMEs to create more job opportunities in the country.

The Program started in 2014, with 5 Centers established in the islands of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Since then, more Centers have been set up nationwide bringing ease of doing business closer to MSMEs in all regions. Negosyo Centers help stimulate entrepreneurship development as MSMEs contribute substantially in driving the Philippine economy.

Negosyo Centers are found in strategic areas convenient for the existing and would-be entrepreneurs, such as DTI offices, Local Government Units (LGU), academe, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), and malls. (PIA-NCR)
