Kalinga PPO honors outstanding personnel, stakeholders 

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, Aug. 3 (PIA) - - The Kalinga Police Provincial Office (KPPO) awarded 61 police personnel, seven Non-Uniform Personnel and nine stakeholders during the culminating activity of the 25th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month celebration on July 31 for their contribution to the successful attainment of the over-all goals of the Philippine National Police and for exemplary performance of duty.  

Tabuk City Police Station was also given plaque of recognition having been adjudged as Outstanding City Police Station of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR) for CY 2020. The station was recognized for their exemplary performance and implementation of community-based plans, programs and projects which immensely enhanced PRO-COR’s accomplishment of its mandate and objectives in the field of PCR.
 
The 2nd Kalinga Mobile Force Company was also given certificate of appreciation for their generosity in helping build a house for a widow in Barangay Bangad, Tinglayan that exhibited and upholds the PNP value of “Makatao” through the "Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko, Adopt A Family Program of the PNP during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
NAPOLCOM Provincial Director Lawyer Zane Mark Bongayon, who was the guest of honor,     commended the KPPO for accomplishing outstanding outcomes in crime prevention and control, and their active role against the spread of COVID-19 virus.
 
He commended the Police Force for their unremarkable contributions as frontliners. “We have seen how the Police, LGUs and the community leaders participate solidly in the clustering and mapping of the community to facilitate contact tracing, isolation and preventing the spread of infection. Having a good system coupled with the cooperation of each team members has made positive impact in maintaining the peace and order of the province amidst the pandemic,” Bongayon said.

He said with a strong police community relations, peace and order and safety will be maintained and the province of Kalinga will be a better place to live, visit, work and do business.     

 Provincial Director PCol. Davy Vicente Limmong called on stakeholders for stronger partnership in crime prevention saying the Police can't do the job alone.
