CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Sept. 11 (PIA) - Families at Sitio Isla, General Aguinaldo in Ramon town will no longer continue to live in darkness and beyond the reach of electricity after they were listed the latest beneficiaries of the Rural Electrification Program.

Isabela Electric Cooperative (ISELCO) - 1 General Manager Virgilio Montano said at least 53 families benefited from the said program.

Montano said the energization of the said place was made possible through the joint efforts of PHILRECA Partylist Representative Presley De Jesus, ISELCO-1 and the Local Government Unit of Ramon headed by Mayor Jesus Laddaran.

The official switch on ceremony for the electrification of the said sitio was conducted on August 27, 2020.

“With your [PHILRECA] full support in bringing electricity in remote places in our area, we salute you for your concern being our partner in rural electrification program,” Montano said.

Montano also lauded the support of LGU Ramon in this endeavor.

Meanwhile, De Jesus vowed to work hand-in-hand with electric cooperatives and LGUs in bringing electricity even in the farthest places in country. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
